My 17 yr old son developed interest in boxing and I am always open to motivate him that he can do what he puts his mind to. So I had my boyfriend help our son find a boxing gym in Albuquerque area.

So he found Warrior Gym and even though we drove from Rio Rancho just to go there for an hour, the environment was not very appealing due to broken windows and cluttered areas inside gym.

The program seemed very simple with no room for growth or one to one interaction because there was only one coach, especially for a short time for practice.

Also my boyfriend was helping our son by volunteering to spar with him one on one and the coach seemed to be ok with it at first, to just turn around and say he needed for us to just follow the program and/or leave. Instead of considering him to possibly volunteer or be part of the program. He even donated jump ropes because he felt they lacked equipment/gear.

I felt it was unprofessional. Not very good experience for being my sons first boxing gym.

Excellent. Really nice mix of group, individual, and instructor activities. What's awesome about it...is it truly is accessible for all ages (I'm not a spring chicken, to say the least; ). Coaches spend time with everyone and know how and when to push/motivate. Very friendly and open atmosphere for all.

You can get whatever you want out of the classes:

*Just want to get/stay in shape (and learn some boxing)?--- they have you covered.
*Want to get/stay in shape and improve your already formidable boxing skills? --- they have you covered.

There's no Cardio like boxing and mma cardio (period).

The area has seen much better times (as has all of Albuquerque) and recent vandal activity in the area is really really sickening... but please do not let that dissuade you as it is a very safe and welcoming establishment and experience.

Called Asked about a Real Inquiry and who ever the man who answered said they are not excepting 7 years Olds due to the attention spand . Yet never asked about my son . This man instantly gave up . With that type of service I need someone who will show dedication like my son definitely not a fit for us .

This place is a real boxing gym, training is 4 days a week, and low fee's for the level of training you get.
